This floating forest is one of the best and most wonderful tourist attractions in Qeshm Island which annually attracts many domestic and foreign travelers. To visit this vast forest, travelers can go to Laft horbor which is located at north of the Island. The name has been picked up by Avecina who had been one of the greatest scientists in ancient Iran.
The amazing fact about the forest is that at the time of low tide, the trees come out of water and visitors can easily see them and enjoy the scene. At the time of high tide the water fully covers the trees and the whole area disappears as if there is nothing except a vast extent of water.
The area is very suitable for migrating birds in cold months due to its ecological conditions. Many of the migratory birds like seagulls, flamingoes, storks, pelicans, eagles and some others enjoy living in this area.
